Why Correct Scores Betting?

Anybody who has been engaged long-term in 1X2 soccer betting has learnt from experience that it is very difficult to make more than 5% on their Base Bank in a season unless they are very lucky. The fact is, some 95% of Bettors LOSE more than 5% of their stake money every season if they are relying on 1X2 betting! And some 50% of Bettors lose 100% of their starting funds that way well before the end of the season!

In the vast majority of cases their money is not lost due to poor betting choices. No, the simple reality is that there is no such thing as a sure-fire certainty when it comes to football teams – sooner or later ALL your favourite teams will let you down, no matter how high up the table they sit! And, because of the low Odds that were on offer for all the previous winning matches, those occasional losses will wipe out all your gains and leave you with less money than you started with. There is nothing you can do about that – it is simply the nature of The Beautiful Game!

The other factor that works against you winning money on 1X2 betting is that the Odds are not balanced in your favour. In fact, not many people realise that the Home Win Odds on a top team will always be far less favourable than if betting on a black or red coming up on a roulette table! As our "Over-Rounds" (Bookie's mark-up) tables show, the Odds offered on most matches are stacked 3 to 4 times higher against you than on a "1-zero" European roulette table (where the Over-Round is 2.7%); in fact, for the top "favourites" winning their matches, the Over-Rounds can sometimes go well over 20%!

As an example, take a look at the details for the Real Madrid v Villarreal match on 21 September 2016, where the Odds for the Home Team outright win were just 1.22. That meant, according to our PaW Program’s probability calculations, that the Bookie's mark-up there for the Home Win was 23.11%! However, the actual outcome was a 1-1 Draw – so the Home Win call would have lost you your money! In short, therefore, 1X2 betting is useless for helping anyone get rich (quickly or otherwise). And that is why we turned to looking at the potential for Correct Scores betting to make us more money!
